Is America still a land of opportunity for the hard worker, or has it given all the work to China?

It used to be said that America was a land of opportunity for the little guy, but now it seems that all the business opportunities have been taken by global off-sourcing and immigrant labour. Are there still opportunities for hard workers or is it really stitched up tight by big corporations?

Is America still a land of opportunity for the hard worker, or has it given all the work to China?
That's how capitalism works, love. And when you say "immigrant labour" surely the US was founded on exactly that. And which country pioneered globalisation ?
Reply:What it boils down to is that the low tech manufacturing jobs and boring jobs that kept a lot of people in work disappear leaving a vacuum of people without the right skills to do the jobs that are left. This means that the poorly educated and immigrants to the US are hit worse than most. Eventually jobs like those in the motor industry also disappear as manufacturing is out-sourced. It does not mean that there is no opportunity left just that the opportunities are different.
Reply:The land of opportunity is where you make it.

The best chance is in your own business, not just working to make someone else rich.

A good way for normal people to make it is in Network marketing. A chance for anyone to own a business where the harder you work the more you earn.

Just make sure you join one where they can prove that people make money. Ask for proof of income!
Reply:Hard workers can earn any where then why to go to America. Now Business opportunities are every where as world is becoming a single market.People can use on line resources and earning lot of money as you can see here at www.googlecashkit.com
Reply:Land of opportunity refers to the capitalistic features of the US, which NO OTHER COUNTRY WILL EVER MATCH.

Yes some of the jobs are getting outsourced, but if you put your mind to it, the US will ALWAYS be the better country to make it in.

Pick up a copy of the magazine Entrepreneur, they always have new millionaires or new business owners that are making headway.
