What do you think is the business opportunity for budget airlines industry?
The budget air carriers never worked in the USA. All of them that tried have failed. Not sure about the Asia-Pacific market.
Reply:I agree with sonia s, budget airlines in us have had less than stellar success. Europe has had several successful budget operations over the past decade, but I saw a business news article on Rueters just yesterday basically drawing the conclusion that most of them are now running into troubles, primarily due to increased fuel costs and increased labor costs which are the two largest expense items in the operation of airlines. Also the major legacy carriers have gone through reorganizations and come out with lower overall operating cost structures. JMO but this is one of the toughest businesses to find success with.
