What do you think about the business opportunities that require a one time fee?

I want to start my online business and usually there's a start up fee of $30-40 bucks to get your website, instructions on how to advertise and keep generating money. That's not too bad is it? Some people charge $50 to $60 bucks to train you to be successful. Has anyone tried anything like this and is successful with it?

Also has anyone ever tried GoogleMoneyPro?

What do you think about the business opportunities that require a one time fee?
Business opportunities that require a fee are always a scam. If you go in with them, they will make money off of you like you wouldn't believe.

Just like "temp agencies" You shouldn't have to pay to find a job, right? Same thing.

Reply:I have not tried it however I must say that yes it is normal to pay money to start a business. After all, you cannot start a Dunkin Donuts without buying the franchise and donuts! $30-40 is fairly reasonable and alot less cheaper than some other business startups. If you want to check the reputation of a company I highly recommend checking them out on the BBB. That is a pretty good indicator of whether or not they it would be a "safe" gamble.

Good Luck!

** I want to add that many people are confusing a business opportunity with a job! A work at home business opportunity is simply put YOUR business and having startup fees are NOT a scam. If you are looking at a JOB interview for a work at home JOB, that is a totally different thing and will NOT require any fees. I see several people who responded to the question are confusing the two issues. They are NOT the same thing at all!**
Reply:I used to think this was crazy also. I didn't want to spend any money... I was trying to MAKE money. But then I realized it was for, like you said, setting up a website or the products, ect... You just have to be careful that what you are getting is legit. What will you be doing? Have you heard of the products or companies? Do your research. I got into a great businesses mainly because it made sense- contracts with reputable companies (with products I personally used) Be careful, I wasted a lot of time and money trying to find something. Email me if you would like some info I think could help. I would like to try and help someone else with this!
Reply:I would never PAY for the privledge of a job interview.

If someone told me: "I have a great opportunity and I want to share it with you, just give me $39.95 and I'll tell you what it is.", I would tell them to go to ****.

Now, if someone were to come in and say: "I have a great opportunity and I want to share it with you, in return for 10% of whatever you make", I have no problem with that.

Because they just proved to me that they think their idea works, and they're trying to make money off the idea, and not the sales pitch.
Reply:I started my own business and I had a membership fee, which covers the account and website. I thought it was fine, and now that I am successful, it was very worth it!

I help people become healthy and lose weight or if they want to take care of their skin I help them with that as well. Its so fulfilling and I love it.
Reply:I think that it is legit, but not process at home or data entry. I have tried it. But I did found one that is legit and I love it. The one time fee is $95 you will get 4 websites and choose the one you want to advertise. It is so easy. Check out the site www.iboplus.org
